SUPPLIER WAREHOUSE (add 3-6 days delivery): IN STOCK

Whether your route covers rough roads or fast gravel, or even both in the same day, Washburn is built for the job. Its center slick provides awesome rolling efficiency on pavement and packed dirt, while the shoulder lugs take over in the turns, digging in for confidence in loose corners.

Washburn is our fastest-rolling gravel tire, built for race-day efforts on hard-packed gravel and backroads but practical enough for your daily commute and rides around town. The center slick minimizes rolling resistance for greater speed and momentum, while the transition knobs and raised side lugs are spaced out to provide cornering traction and shed debris. The 650b x 47 mm size offers increased volume for a larger contact patch and more grip.

TERAVAIL TUBELESS SYSTEM

Teravail Tubeless tires use a proprietary bead material and shape in order to create a strong, airtight seal between the tire and rim. In order to maintain the most supple casings for our tires we need to employ the use of a tire sealant liquid (see compatible sealant chart). Liquid sealants add a minimal amount of weight and seal any imperfections in the rim/bead area as well as micro-pores in the tire. The sealant creates an air barrier while maintaining the ride quality that can be sacrificed by using a tube or bonding a butyl airtight seal to the tire.

An additional benefit to using a sealant-based tubeless system is improved flat protection. As the tire rotates, it constantly agitates the liquid sealant. In the instance of a puncture, that agitation aids the sealant in quickly finding the puncture and closing it. In the case of a larger puncture that the sealant is not able to repair, it’s easy to fix the tire with a patch on the inside.

PSI

This refers to the pounds per square inch of air pressure in the tire.

Optimal pressure depends on the load it is supporting. A heavier rider needs a higher pressure than a lighter rider for identical tires. Rough surfaces generally call for a reduction in pressure to improve ride comfort and traction.

ETRTO

The European Tire and Rim Technical Organization is the universal standard reference for tire and rim sizes that articulates circumference.

NOTE: Always reference the ETRTO number when ordering to ensure accuracy in tire fit.

RIM COMPATIBILITY

Refer to www.teravail.com/pages/safety for complete tire installation instructions. Teravail tires are compatible with specific ETRTO sized rims.

Check with rim manufacturer for specific rim compatibility.

SEALANT COMPATIBILITY

We have tested our tires to be compatible with Finish Line, Orange Seal, Stans, Slime, Continental, and Hutchinson sealant.
